●learnsynonyms（同義詞）fornewwords．a(chǎn)synonymisawordthatmeansthesamethingasanotherword．youcanexpandyourvocabularybylearningsynonymsforyournewenglishwords．forexample，smallisasynonymforlittle．
●learnantonyms（反義詞）fornewwords．a(chǎn)nantonymisawordthatmeanstheoppositeofanotherword．learninganantonymforeachnewwordcanhelpyouincreaseyourvocabulary．forexample，badisanantonymforgood．
●studywordroots．manyenglishwordshavelatinroots．whenyoulearnoneroot，youcanoftenlearnmanynewwords．forexample，thelatinrootportmeanstocarry，andthisrootisfoundinmanyenglishwordslikethefollowing：export，import，support，andtransport．
●learnprefixes（前綴）．prefixesaresmallgroupsoflettersthatyouputinfrontofwordstogivethemdifferentmeanings．forexample，youcanputin-，un-，ornon-infrontofmanyadjectives（形容詞）togivethemanegativeoroppositemeaning．thewordflexibledescribesapersonorthingthatcanchangeorbechangedeasily．inflexiblemeansjusttheopposite．
●learnhowtopronounceeachnewword．a(chǎn)nimportantpartofusingnewenglishwordseffectivelyislearninghowtopronouncethem．a(chǎn)syouknow，manyenglishwordsdon‘tsoundthewayyouthinktheywill！
