　　Renew, 是延期、更新的意思。換新駕照，"to renew one's driver license"; 續(xù)簽公寓租約， "to renew the apartment lease"; 延期健身俱樂部的會員卡， "to renew the membership in the sports club."

　　松下電器公司決定繼續(xù)跟美國奧委會合作， "Panasonic renewed its partnership with the U.S. Olympic Committee." 美國2003年開始了， Do-not-call-list, 謝絕來電名單，加入這個名單，就可以免受廣告電話的騷擾。不過，這個名單的有效期只有五年，"People need to renew their spot on the registry to fend off telemarketers."
